Linhay location - near Bampton, Devon

Just a few miles from Exmoor, Bampton is a delightful small town with plenty of pubs and all the necessary shops to provide your holiday needs.

We are very fortunate to have a good butcher, 2 bakeries and a fruit and vegetable shop which sell fresh food, and a Post Office and 2 small supermarkets which are open from early in the morning to late in the evening.

Situated on the Batherm River a couple of miles before it joins the River Exe, Bampton is within easy reach of a wide variety of real countryside - Exmoor, Dartmoor, the Quantocks, the Blackdown Hills and the Somerset levels.

Travelling to Bampton

You can get to Bampton by car from Junction 25, 26 or 27 on the M5 motorway, or by train to Taunton 17 miles away or Tiverton about 8 miles away. Both stations are served by trains companies First Great Western, Virgin Cross Country, Wales & West, and Alphaline. Transport can be arranged from the railway stations to the Linhay.
